A little bit about our team
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Woodmont Realty's Relocation Department established in June of 2002 when Woodmont Realty Group, Inc. affiliated with the widely respected Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices real estate network.
Since then, our relocation department has closed well over $500M in business volume, representing over 2,000 transactions. In 2011, the department collaborated and serviced over 30 individual relocation management companies which represented over 65 individual corporate clients.
Our relocation department also generates business from broker-to-broker referrals, inside and outside our affiliated global network.
The department exists on serving both sides of a real estate transaction - the buyers and the sellers. We support relocated people in and out of the Middle Tennessee area. Our team of relocation certified real estate professionals also assist in people finding new place to call home right here in the Greater Nashville and surrounding Middle Tennessee counties.
Leadership
The relocation team is lead by our Vice President of Relocation and Business Development, Tonya L. Hamilton. Tonya holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Adminstration from Auburn University and MBA from Cumberland University. She also has her CRP and GMS designations from the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council.
Some of the awards under her direction include: the North American Group Move Support Award, Inventory Performance Awards, Incoming Broker-to-Broker Performance Award, Highest Year over Year Growth Total Units, and Top Lender Conversion Rate Award. In 2009, Tonya was selected as one of Nashville Business Journal's Top 40 Under 40.

My husband and I relocated from the Pac NW and were working with a relo company as part of our move package; the first realtor wasn't a great fit and we were given Tony's name as an alternate. Very glad he was in our relo network! Although my husband did a lot of exploring and research prior to us seriously viewing options, Tony provided additional knowledge and expertise about the area and local/national builders. His knowledge as a former contractor was very helpful when looking at imperfections within the homes. Since we relocate frequently, his expertise of the current and possible future of the market and the area was very helpful; talked with us about the the city's growth plan and eased concerns about locations and re-sale. We had a difficult time with our HOA costs, which were not disclosed by selling agent or owners (builders); his negotiation skills resulted in the selling agent absorbing those costs and not us. And another extra bonus, he was very, very patient with us and our young children; we looked at about 6 homes each viewing appointment and after the first 2, the girls were done. He was super patient and flexible with their needs and exhausted behaviors. We are looking forward to working with him when we eventually sell our home and would recommend him to anyone looking to buy, especially if relocating to the area from afar!

I contacted Patricia from another state, not really expecting to be able to buy in Murfreesboro. She expertly and compassionately guided me through the process of financing and buying a townhouse from out of state. It is hard to say what I most appreciated about Patricia. She is very knowledgeable of both real estate and the local area. She is quick to respond to phone calls, text messages, and emails. She helped me get the best price possible in a sellers market. She immediately grasped the rather unusual family situation which was the reason for the purchase, and worked well with my relative who lives in Murfreesboro. Most surprisingly, when she looked at property with my relative she communicated to me by phone the negatives of the property as well as the positives. She took pictures of the problem areas of the property and sent them to me! I have purchased five other properties and worked with multiple agents, and always they stressed the positives, trying to make a quick sale.
